Handicraft Hall is a traditional Fukien architecture. The winding corridors house with three sides gathers many private artists who display all kinds of folklore handicrafts which include embroidery, straw weaving, bamboo and rattan ware, writing brush and ink stone in the study, puppet, blown candy, bamboo steaming basket and oil paper umbrella, etc. To trace the beautiful music to climb upstairs, the ancient teahouse provides a nice place to drink tea. To hold a pot of tea on hand, it seems back to the old times. To look outside, there are swallowtail roof and the urn-decorated wall. What a peaceful world! There is a teahouse in the Handicraft Hall to provide people a place to drink tea and to present the tea ceremony atmosphere. The surrounding eight houses are sites for making, displaying and sales of the folk handicrafts. There is an active stage where the ancient wedding, the big drum folklore music, the Chinese wind instrument of the handicraft festival used to be performed here to excite the people. |
